About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a Class A CDL Delivery Truck Driver to deliver building materials safely from the branch to customer job sites. The driver is responsible for safe deliveries, accurate documentation, compliance with applicable regulations, and professional customer service. The position does not require over-the-road travel, and drivers are home every night. Duties may also include warehouse work and loading or unloading materials.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
• Pre-employment and random drug screenings are required.

• Flatbed truck experience.
• Semi tractor and trailer truck experience.
• Trailer-mounted forklift truck experience.
• Hazmat endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain a safe work zone at each job site.
• Follow the assigned delivery schedule and job directives precisely.
• Document each step of deliveries by taking and uploading photos using the camera phone system.
• Check the truck load before leaving the branch, ensuring materials are secured and the truck complies with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Coordinate with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to place materials and unload them.
• Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide customers with an invoice upon delivery and collect the full amount due for COD deliveries.
• Perform warehouse work, including loading and unloading materials onto or off trucks or into the warehouse, as assigned.
