About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a Class A CDL Delivery Truck Driver to make ground and rooftop deliveries of building materials. The driver is responsible for safe deliveries from departure at the facility through completion at each job site, maintaining a safe work zone, following delivery schedules and job directives, and documenting deliveries using the company’s camera phone system. Drivers work with a Delivery Material Handler to determine where materials should be placed and to unload them. The role does not require over-the-road travel and may also include warehouse work, such as loading and unloading materials.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops.
• Must complete pre-employment and random drug screens.

Nice To Haves

• Drywall boom truck experience.
• Trailer-mounted forklift experience.
• Crane certification.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Conduct a safe work zone during each job site delivery.
• Follow assigned delivery schedules and job directives precisely.
• Document each step of deliveries by taking and uploading photos with the camera phone system.
• Complete a thorough truck load check before leaving the branch, ensuring materials are secured and the truck complies with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Work with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to set materials and unload them.
• Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide customers with an invoice upon completion of each delivery and collect the full amount due on COD deliveries.
• Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials onto or off trucks or into the warehouse.
