About The Position

ABC Supply is hiring a Class A CDL Delivery Truck Driver to make ground and rooftop deliveries of building materials. The driver is responsible for the safety of each delivery from departure from the facility through completion at the job site. This position does not require over-the-road travel, and drivers are home every night. Duties may also include warehouse work, such as loading and unloading materials.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 75–100 pounds.
• Ability and willingness to work on rooftops.
• Completion of a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens.

Nice To Haves

• Drywall boom truck experience.
• Trailer-mounted forklift experience.
• Crane certification.

Responsibilities

• Treat customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Maintain a safe work zone at each job site.
• Follow the assigned delivery schedule and job directives precisely.
• Document each step of deliveries by taking and uploading photos with the camera phone system.
• Inspect the truck load before leaving the branch, confirming materials are secured and the truck complies with applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
• Work with the Delivery Material Handler to determine where to place materials and unload them.
• Complete and file logs and required government paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Provide customers with an invoice after each delivery and collect the full amount due for COD deliveries.
• Perform warehouse work as assigned, including loading and unloading materials onto or off trucks or into the warehouse.
