Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent certificate
- Meet minimum age requirement, as permitted by law
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required
- Hazmat and tanker endorsement required
- A minimum of 3 years of driving experience
- Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and medical requirements
- Skilled in documenting mileage and service hours in accordance with DOT log regulations
- Comprehensive knowledge of conducting vehicle inspections
- An engaged safety-first mindset, committing to safe work practices through Key Daily Actions
- Ability to occasionally lift/carry up to 75lbs, frequently stoop and bend at the knees as well as remaining seated for extended periods of time
- Flexibility to work additional hours to meet business demands
Responsibilities
- Drive company trucks to designated locations safely and accurately
- Complete and maintain records as required by the company and government regulations
- Obtain receipts, signatures, and other documents as required
- Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed in a courteous and professional manner
- Load or assist in loading trailer with materials with attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Unload or assist in unloading trailer of bulk chemical and fertilizer, safely and efficiently by using forklift, hand truck, or electric pallet jack if a dock is not present
- Follow freight handling specifications
- Actively follow safety procedures, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
- Keep abreast of the dangers and hazards of products and take proper precaution
- Operate vehicle in a manner that demonstrates that safety is a priority
- Clean and conduct proper maintenance on equipment
- Participate in safety meetings and training programs to remain current on safety policies and procedures
- Perform other duties and assignments to meet operational needs of the business
