Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent certificate
  • Meet minimum age requirement, as permitted by law
  • Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) required
  • Hazmat and tanker endorsement required
  • A minimum of 3 years of driving experience
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and medical requirements
  • Skilled in documenting mileage and service hours in accordance with DOT log regulations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of conducting vehicle inspections
  • An engaged safety-first mindset, committing to safe work practices through Key Daily Actions
  • Ability to occasionally lift/carry up to 75lbs, frequently stoop and bend at the knees as well as remaining seated for extended periods of time
  • Flexibility to work additional hours to meet business demands

Responsibilities

  • Drive company trucks to designated locations safely and accurately
  • Complete and maintain records as required by the company and government regulations
  • Obtain receipts, signatures, and other documents as required
  • Pick up and deliver product to customers as needed in a courteous and professional manner
  • Load or assist in loading trailer with materials with attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Unload or assist in unloading trailer of bulk chemical and fertilizer, safely and efficiently by using forklift, hand truck, or electric pallet jack if a dock is not present
  • Follow freight handling specifications
  • Actively follow safety procedures, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
  • Keep abreast of the dangers and hazards of products and take proper precaution
  • Operate vehicle in a manner that demonstrates that safety is a priority
  • Clean and conduct proper maintenance on equipment
  • Participate in safety meetings and training programs to remain current on safety policies and procedures
  • Perform other duties and assignments to meet operational needs of the business
