About The Position
Gallagher Bassett is hiring a Claims Supervisor for California Workers Compensation. The role supervises a team of workers compensation claims adjusters handling caseloads of varying sizes and complexity, with a focus on high-quality, efficient service and adherence to Gallagher Bassett’s Best Practices. The supervisor oversees hiring and training, sets team goals, manages workloads, motivates performance, and develops team members through coaching. The position also uses Gallagher technology to improve efficiency and service quality and communicates proactively and professionally with clients, carriers, and brokers. The position is eligible for fully remote work.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Minimum of 10 years of related claims experience.
- Extensive background in workers compensation claims adjusting.
- At least 2 years of prior leadership or people-management experience in a claims environment.
- California workers compensation jurisdictional experience.
- Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all states in which claims are handled.
- Knowledge of all team-member-related functions.
- California designation required; SIP is optional.

Responsibilities
- Lead and encourage a workers compensation claims team handling caseloads of varying sizes and complexities.

- Define team goals, motivate performance, and manage workloads to support efficiency.
- Use Gallagher technology to improve team efficiency and service quality.
- Communicate professionally, positively, and proactively with clients, carriers, and brokers.
- Manage competing priorities, identify coaching opportunities, and support team members’ development.
