About The Position

Command Investigations LLC is seeking a part-time Insurance Claims Investigator with at least one year of field investigations experience. The role involves investigating insurance claims—including workers’ compensation, general liability, auto, and property claims—by gathering evidence, interviewing involved parties, documenting findings, and preparing detailed reports for client review. Investigators may perform scene investigations, recorded statements, scene canvassing, document retrieval, and courthouse research. Casework may be located up to two hours from the job listing location, with travel across multiple states as needed. Business hours are typically Monday through Friday, although exact times depend on casework objectives; schedules may vary and can include nights, weekends, and overtime when required. The investigator supplies their own equipment, including recording equipment, and maintains a reliable, insured vehicle.

Requirements

At least one year of field investigations experience, including face-to-face recorded statements and report writing.
A minimum of 1–3 years of Claims, SIU, or adjusting experience; other related experience should be indicated on the application.
An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or a related field.
A valid state Investigator license, eligibility for licensure in surrounding states, or ability to obtain the license upon hire.
Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook, web-based systems, and basic technical troubleshooting.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, reading skills, and ability to follow detailed directions.
Strong report-writing and typing skills at 50+ WPM with accuracy and attention to detail.
Understanding of investigative processes, insurance law, and claim procedures.
English speaking ability.
Ability to organize casework and schedules independently and demonstrate customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Flexibility, effective time management, self-motivation, accountability, and sound judgment.
Ability to adapt to variable schedules, including nights and weekends when required, and willingness to work overtime.
A reliable, fuel-efficient, personally owned vehicle and required insurance coverage.
Ability to thrive under pressure and maintain professionalism in sensitive situations.
Completion of a Command Investigations, LLC employment application and any required pre-employment tasks.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods.
Ability to enter text or data using a traditional keyboard or 10-key numeric keypad.
Vision abilities including close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus; ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and surrounding sounds.

Responsibilities
