This full-time role is based in Hunt Valley, Maryland, with consideration for candidates located in Montreal, Quebec or Mississauga, Ontario. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Claims, you will be responsible for applying Claims examination principles and procedures to analyse the validity of claims submitted in respect of Credit Insured transactions, taking account of detailed policy specific criteria and advising/directing customers in respect of loss minimization activities. This position also contributes to the development of claims policies and procedures through interaction with an international claims community, is responsible for the monitoring and settlement of recoveries and recovery costs and liaises with legal resources when necessary. Successful completion of these responsibilities will require you to interact with other functional areas within Atradius.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented approach.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous insurance or claims handling experience.
  • Current AMF adjuster license (for Montreal or Mississauga offices).
  • Fully bilingual (French and English) with strong verbal and written communication skills (for Montreal or Mississauga locations).

Responsibilities

  • Applying established claims examination principles and procedures to assess liability for credit-insured losses within defined authority levels.
  • Ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, systems, and quality standards.
  • Accurately assessing and calculating indemnity payments in accordance with policy terms and coverage provisions.
  • Communicating effectively with customers, brokers, buyers, agents, and internal colleagues to support timely claim resolution.
  • Responding promptly and professionally to inquiries and information requests from internal stakeholders.
  • Demonstrating strong written and verbal communication skills when interacting with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contributing as both an independent performer and a collaborative team member to achieve departmental and organizational goals.
  • Managing multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, attention to detail, and service excellence.
  • Performing general administrative and clerical duties that support the efficient operation of the Claims team.

  • Competitive Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 annually, dependent on experience level with a 10% bonus potential.
