Reporting to the Claims Manager, the Claims Associate is a key support role within HUB International’s claims team. You will be responsible for the accurate set-up, maintenance, and administration of claims files, systems, and financial processes — providing the operational backbone that enables our claims team to deliver exceptional service to clients and carrier partners. This is an administrative role that offers excellent exposure to the insurance industry and a clear path for professional growth.

Requirements

  • 2–3 years of administrative experience, ideally within insurance, financial services, or a professional services environment.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with systems such as Epic and Lloyd’s Lineage is a significant asset.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately and on time.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a high degree of professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and as a collaborative team player.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, integrity, and getting the details right.

Nice To Haves

  • CAIB, CIP designation or interest in pursuing insurance education considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Set up new claims in Lloyd’s Lineage, bordereaux, and claim files, ensuring accuracy at intake.
  • Update and maintain claim bordereaux and spreadsheets on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage claim loss funds, request payments, and reconcile general ledgers in accordance with financial controls.
  • Maintain organized and compliant physical and electronic claim files.
  • Support the preparation and submission of carrier bordereaux and claims reports.
  • Generate reports and data extracts as directed by the claims team.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Claims Manager and Claims Technicians.
