About The Position

The Analyst – Payments completes payment analytical functions to identify trends and monitor, triage, and resolve daily payment issues. The role audits completed disbursements and ensures payments are processed in a timely and satisfactory manner. It collaborates with Claims Research, the Call Center Supervisor, and other cross-functional areas, and participates in the enhancement and oversight of payment operations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
At least 3 years of experience in data, financial, or disbursements processing.
Ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot.
Critical thinking skills and ability to identify trends.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Nice To Haves

At least 2 years of process management experience.
Experience in the medical insurance industry.
Working knowledge of Facets, SAP, and Business Objects.

Responsibilities

Execute and validate the integrity of payment data in the EyeMed payments system.
Monitor payment fulfillment to ensure proper controls are met.
Audit the integrity of payment data in the EyeMed payments system.
Identify and communicate payment trends, issue status, and issue resolution to management.
Review, update, and approve reporting documentation to ensure appropriate controls and key compliance requirements are met.
Build and foster professional relationships with internal contacts to communicate and expedite resolution of payment issues.
Work cross-functionally with the Payments Team, IT, and other business partners to research and resolve issues accurately and promptly, keeping management and team members informed.
Identify and recommend system and process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Serve as a subject matter expert on the end-to-end payment lifecycle, including reconciliation.
