About The Position

AIG is seeking a Claims Analyst III to handle Employment Practices Liability (EPL) claims, with the opportunity to handle Director & Officers (D&O) claims. The role involves identifying, investigating, and resolving coverage issues at the earliest appropriate time, and communicating policy coverage issues clearly to insureds, brokers, underwriters, and risk managers. The position is primarily office-based to support in-person collaboration.

Requirements

• Claims and/or litigation experience.
• Ability to analyze insurance policies and legal documents.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Financial Lines experience, including EPL, D&O, or ERISA claims.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Responsibilities

• Investigate claims promptly for coverage, liability, and damages.
• Work thoughtfully with insureds and defense counsel to formulate effective, cost-conscious claim resolutions.
• Analyze and budget litigation through timely, regular discussions with counsel, vendors, and insureds throughout the life of each claim.
• Value claims within a reasonable timeframe and present them to management as necessary.
• Manage reserve adjustments and payments to avoid deficit payments.
• Communicate policy coverage issues clearly, both verbally and in writing, to insureds, brokers, underwriters, and risk managers.
