About The Position

The Claims Adjuster, Property primarily handles investor and forced placement claims within the unit, and handles other claims as needed. The role involves prompt service and detailed claim investigations, maintaining a diary system to support timely claim resolution, adhering to file quality standards, and maintaining effective contact with agents, insureds, and company personnel. The adjuster must meet licensing and continuing education requirements, achieve unit and departmental performance goals, and determine appropriate indemnity payments through estimate reviews, desk adjustments, depreciation decisions, and evaluation of personal property claims. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional education or experience.
• Florida 6-20 Adjusters License required.
• High degree of planning and organization ability.

Nice To Haves

• Multi-line technical and administrative experience.

Responsibilities

• Handle investor and forced placement claims within the unit, as well as other claims as needed.
• Provide prompt service and conduct detailed claim investigations.
• Maintain a diary system to ensure prompt conclusion of claims.
• Follow file quality standards.
• Maintain effective contact with agents, insureds, and company personnel.
• Fulfill adjuster licensing requirements and required state continuing education.
• Meet or exceed unit and departmental performance goals.
• Determine proper indemnity payments through estimate reviews, including desk adjustments.
• Determine and apply proper depreciation to applicable items.
• Evaluate personal property claims.
