This full-time Claims Adjuster position, specifically handling Auto 1st & 3rd party damages, is part of the Gallagher Bassett Canada team, which is poised for aggressive growth. The role involves the investigation, evaluation, disposition, and settlement of various claims, including Product liability claims, First party property damage, Auto, and TP auto claims.

Requirements

  • High school diploma and 3 years related claims experience.
  • CIP completion or in progress with minimum courses for licensing.
  • Appropriately licensed and/or certified in all provinces in which claims are being handled or able to obtain the licenses/certification per local requirements.
  • Extensive knowledge of accepted industry standards and practices.
  • Computer experience with related claims and business software.

  • Bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, evaluate, dispose of, and settle claims.
  • Handle Product liability claims, First party property damage, Auto, and TP auto claims.
  • Negotiate the settlement and disposition of claims, including interpreting related documentation.
  • Negotiate with solicitors and directly with parties to resolve claims within granted authority.
  • Handle claims consistent with client and corporate policies, procedures, and “Best Practices”, and in accordance with statutory, regulatory, and ethics requirements.
