About The Position

American Structurepoint’s Civil Site Engineering Group is seeking an entry-level Staff Engineer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The role provides hands-on experience in site design, including grading, utilities, parking lots, roadways, and stormwater management. The engineer will collaborate with licensed engineers and contribute to the design and development of land development projects that affect local communities. The work includes extensive use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Microsoft Excel to create and refine construction plans. Requirements

Recent graduate or soon-to-be graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Construction, or Structural Engineering, Land Surveying, or a related program focused on civil infrastructure.
Reliable transportation to and from the office or local project sites.
Willingness to learn, take initiative, contribute, maintain a strong work ethic, and try new things.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Project Engineers, Project Managers, and Team Leaders on land development projects, including industrial, residential, mixed-use, urban redevelopment, and affordable housing projects.
Gain hands-on experience in drafting, plan production, field inspections, design coordination, and cost estimation.
Use AutoCAD and HydroCAD to support design and stormwater management solutions.
Assist with engineering calculations, permit applications, technical specifications, exhibits, and presentation materials.
Perform a variety of project-related tasks, gaining exposure to how land development projects progress from concept to construction.
Perform other duties as assigned.
