About The Position

Gessner Engineering is seeking an experienced Civil Project Manager to lead design efforts, manage client relationships, and lead and develop a team of engineers on civil projects involving residential, commercial, higher education, and public infrastructure developments. The role manages project design, budgets, schedules, and client communications; coordinates with clients, consultants, review agencies, and internal teams; and oversees engineering deliverables and construction administration. The Project Manager also contributes to business development and develops the technical and professional capabilities of team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas.
• 5–10 years of civil engineering experience, including project management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software, including PondPack, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, Autodesk SSA, Flowmaster, EPANET, and WaterCAD.
• Strong technical background in site and land development, municipal infrastructure, drainage, grading, and utility design.

Responsibilities

• Manage project design, budgets, schedules, and client communications.
• Lead and mentor a team of EITs and PEs, supporting their technical and professional development.
• Coordinate internally and externally with clients, consultants, and review agencies.
• Oversee preparation of construction documents, cost estimates, and engineering reports.
• Conduct site visits and manage construction administration activities, including forensics, as-built data, submittals, and RFIs.
• Perform QA/QC reviews and seal designs consistent with experience.
• Develop proposals, manage invoicing, and contribute to business development efforts.
