About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Civil OSP Design Engineer / Specialist to support the planning, design, and quality assurance of telecommunications outside plant infrastructure programs. The role focuses on designing and modeling underground conduit systems for fiber optic networks, data center connectivity, metro fiber deployments, and utility infrastructure. The successful candidate will have practical experience designing underground conduit networks, duct banks, handholes, manholes, and related civil infrastructure, and will use Civil 3D and other engineering software to develop, review, and validate designs throughout project lifecycles. This is a fully remote position involving collaboration with multidisciplinary engineering teams, utility stakeholders, permitting agencies, and construction personnel across multiple geographic regions. The role also provides engineering support during construction and contributes to as-built development and project closeout documentation. AECOM is a global infrastructure consulting firm working across water, environment, energy, transportation, and buildings. The company describes its work as delivering innovative, sustainable, and resilient solutions throughout project lifecycles. The position is for a current vacancy, with AECOM intending to fill it by October 15, 2026. Relocation and sponsorship for US employment authorization are not available. Candidates must submit relevant Autodesk Civil 3D design samples; professional references may be requested. Newly hired employees must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location.
