About The Position

The Civil Design Engineer is an entry-level engineering role that supports the design team in developing engineering solutions for projects. The position focuses on building a foundational understanding of engineering practices, assisting with the preparation of design documents, and supporting senior engineers in the design and development process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 0–1 year of experience in engineering design or internship experience.
• Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or SolidWorks in an internship or academic setting.

Nice To Haves

• Engineer In Training (EIT) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing engineering designs and prepare technical drawings, calculations, and models under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Use CAD and other design software to create and modify engineering drawings and plans in accordance with project specifications and company standards.
• Research materials, codes, and regulations to support design efforts and ensure compliance with applicable laws and industry standards.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external consultants to gather technical input and integrate engineering systems into designs.
• Participate in project meetings, take notes, and provide updates on assigned tasks.
• Assist with project documentation, including design reports, calculations, and specifications, for review by senior engineers.
• Conduct field visits or site inspections to gather data or help assess existing conditions as needed.
• Support quality control by reviewing design deliverables for accuracy and compliance with firm standards.
