About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Civil Municipal Engineer to work on municipal infrastructure projects in Wayne, New Jersey. The work includes roadways, drainage systems, utilities, and other public-sector improvements, combining hands-on design with support throughout project planning, design, and construction.

The engineer will prepare plans and technical documentation, support permitting, and provide construction support while coordinating with municipal clients, agencies, stakeholders, consultants, and multidisciplinary engineering teams. The role requires managing technical workstreams across multiple active projects and working on-site in Wayne, New Jersey.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• At least three years of civil or municipal engineering experience, including hands-on municipal infrastructure design.
• Experience preparing engineering plans, specifications, and calculations for roadway, drainage, utility, or similar public infrastructure projects.
• Ability to work on-site in Wayne, New Jersey.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.

Nice To Haves

• Technical experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, GIS, Revit, Bluebeam, Mathcad, engineering calculations, and construction documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage systems, utilities, and related public improvements.
• Prepare engineering plans, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation.
• Support permitting and regulatory submissions.
• Support municipal projects from planning and design through construction.
• Manage technical workstreams across multiple active projects.
• Provide construction support, including shop drawing review, responding to contractor questions and RFIs, addressing field conditions, and construction administration.
• Coordinate with municipal clients, agencies, consultants, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
