About The Position

Ruekert & Mielke, Inc. is seeking a Civil Engineer to contribute to the design and management of municipal and infrastructure projects. The role involves leading and supporting projects from conceptual design through construction, managing project tasks with limited oversight, and contributing to project delivery in a collaborative environment. The engineer will work with clients and project teams, guide junior staff, and support quality, client satisfaction, and sustainable growth.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office applications.
• Solid understanding of municipal design standards and project delivery.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality, client-focused solutions.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years of professional experience in municipal or general civil engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead the design of municipal and civil engineering projects.
• Manage project tasks, budgets, and schedules with limited oversight.
• Prepare detailed plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
• Conduct field inspections, site visits, and construction observations.
• Coordinate with clients, government agencies, contractors, and internal project teams.
• Review technical documents for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Mentor and assist junior engineers and technicians.
• Participate in project meetings, presentations, and proposal development.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and client satisfaction efforts.
