About The Position

Lewis Brisbois is seeking an attorney to join its Civil Litigation Practice in its Los Angeles, California office. The practice includes more than 600 attorneys nationwide and represents defendants in significant-exposure civil litigation, including property and personal injury claims involving businesses and individuals who may be insured or self-insured. The team handles a wide range of matters and focuses on catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex litigation. Its partners and senior associates are experienced trial attorneys, and the practice has received prominent recognition for its defense verdicts. The role involves defense litigation across all phases, including case management, motion practice, discovery, hearings, depositions, arbitrations, and trials. While defense experience is preferred, the firm is also interested in developing talented attorneys with strong skills in other areas of litigation. Partnership opportunities may be considered for candidates with extensive relevant experience. The position offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Requirements

Admission to the California Bar is required.
Strong research and writing skills.
At least one year of experience in all phases of defense litigation; the posting states “one (1) to seven (15) years.”

Nice To Haves

Defense litigation experience is preferred.
Substantive litigation experience and excellent skills in any litigation arena are welcomed.
Extensive relevant experience may qualify candidates for consideration for partnership opportunities.

Responsibilities
