About The Position

Assist skilled craft workers in performing their assigned duties and perform physical labor at construction sites. The role involves a variety of duties and requires following instructions from superintendents, foremen, and experienced crew members, with safety as the primary focus. The laborer is responsible for keeping work areas clean and orderly, understanding jobsite warnings and policies, and observing installed equipment or systems to identify hazards.

Requirements

• May require a high school diploma or equivalent and previous years of experience in the field or a related area.
• Possess working knowledge, skills, and abilities for the position.
• Understand, follow, and transmit written and oral instructions, and communicate effectively with management and supervision.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely and efficiently.
• Meet all physical requirements.
• Have all required tools.
• Work at heights and in confined spaces, potentially exceeding 200 feet.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by workload.

Responsibilities

• Assist craft workers in setting up work as required.
• Follow instructions from superintendents, foremen, and other experienced crew members.
• Perform duties with safety as the first priority.
• Keep work areas clean and orderly.
• Read and understand warning signs, equipment operating instructions, jobsite safety rules, and jobsite policies.
• Observe the functioning of installed equipment or systems to identify hazards.
• Comply with safety and project rules.
• Perform other duties as required.
