About The Position

Build the Future With Us – As a Civil Engineering Graduate, you will join our
Land Development and Municipal Engineering team in Sault Ste. Marie,
contributing to meaningful infrastructure projects that directly shape local
communities. This role offers hands‑on design experience, field exposure, and
technical development that builds the foundation for your Professional Engineer
designation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or an equivalent program.
• Up to 5 years of engineering experience in municipal engineering or land development environments.
• Foundational understanding of storm, sanitary, water servicing, grading, and roadway design.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and interest in advancing digital design capabilities.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings, technical standards, and design guidelines.
• Interest in developing knowledge of OPSS, OPSD, and municipal design requirements.
• Comfortable working independently in both office and field settings.
• Valid Ontario driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Support storm, water, and wastewater design activities for municipal and land development projects.
• Prepare design reports, technical documentation, and engineering specifications.
• Assist with grading design, servicing layouts, feasibility studies, and stormwater management concepts.
• Review engineering drawings and collaborate across disciplines to ensure coordinated project delivery.
• Help develop cost estimates and quantities to support project planning and execution.
• Participate in field inspections to observe construction practices and validate design intent.
• Assist Project Managers with scheduling, budgeting, and problem‑solving activities.
• Contribute to projects that enhance safety, sustainability, and efficiency within local communities.
