About The Position

Collins, an ENR Top 500 Design Firm, is seeking a highly motivated Structural Design Project Manager for its Green Bay, Wisconsin office. The Project Manager plans, designs, and directs engineering projects, working with clients and overseeing schedules, budgets, project quality, and staff. The position involves engineering design and project management duties in both field and office settings. Relocation is available.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and/or master's degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year university, and at least 5 years of experience or equivalent.
Experience designing projects such as bridges, roadways, railroads, marinas, and/or ports.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification required.

Responsibilities

Independently perform moderately difficult engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices.
Prepare complete engineering plans or reports.
Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
Participate in technical societies.
Manage moderately difficult engineering projects in the field or office in accordance with plans and specifications.
Work directly with clients.
Manage project schedules and ensure timely completion of projects.
Monitor project budgets.
Ensure accurate client billings and monitor outstanding accounts receivable.
Assist with proposal preparation, project scoping, cost estimating, project planning, and project quality.
Be available to attend meetings or events outside normal working hours.
Direct and supervise entry-level engineers, technicians, drafters, and administrative staff.
Act appropriately regarding safety and ensure staff who need specialized health and safety training receive it; discuss safety as an important aspect of their work.
Perform other duties as assigned.
