About The Position

Corle Building Systems is seeking a Civil/Structural Design Engineer to join its Engineering Department. The company designs and manufactures pre-engineered metal building systems, including rigid-frame clear-span and multiple-span buildings. In this role, you will design metal building systems in accordance with building codes and project specifications, develop effective and economical solutions for varied projects, and coordinate projects through the engineering process. You will also assist with sales bidding and estimating and serve as an engineering resource in customer sales meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution; a Mechanical Engineering degree does not meet this requirement.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Experience using MBS software.
• Knowledge of building codes and standards such as IBC, AISC, ASCE-7, and AISI.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certificate.

Responsibilities

• Design metal building systems in compliance with building codes and specifications using multiple software packages.
• Develop effective and economical solutions for projects such as churches, airplane hangars, sports complexes, retail buildings, and industrial buildings.
• Manage multiple projects through the engineering process, communicating with customers and teammates from other departments.
• Assist sales with bidding and estimating metal building projects.
• Represent Corle Building Systems as an engineering resource in sales meetings with customers.
