Requirements

Four years of professional civil engineering experience
Three years in the appropriate specialty (pavement management)
One year of experience in directing the work of civil engineers
Possession of a valid Professional Engineer license issued by the Pennsylvania State Registration Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists
For out-of-state Professional Engineer license holders, a valid Pennsylvania Professional Engineer License must be obtained within the initial six-month probationary period.

Responsibilities

Analyze pavement conditions to determine needs and support planning decisions
Oversee quality assurance controls and maintain statewide pavement guidelines
Use engineering software to model pavement performance and advise decision makers
Work with districts and counties to apply pavement management tools and information
Assist in creating and updating pavement policies, specifications, and selection guidelines
Coordinate with internal and external partners on pavement planning, data integration, and project prioritization
