About The Position

AECOM is hiring a Civil Engineer - Highways in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The position is expected to begin in January 2027. The role builds analytic and design skills while conducting engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer. Work includes preparing designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings; collecting and analyzing data; using computer software to solve basic engineering problems; and completing work within agreed budgets and schedules under supervision. The position starts as full-time onsite work and transitions to hybrid after six months. Newly hired employees must attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office. Relocation assistance is not available.

Requirements

BA/BS in Civil Engineering or a related field, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
US citizenship is required due to the nature of the work.

Nice To Haves

Previous internship experience.
Previous experience using OpenRoads Designer.
Microsoft Office proficiency.
Knowledge of Colorado DOT standards.
Coursework in roadway design or surveying.
