About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking a CAD Operator to join its Land Development team in Peachtree Corners, Georgia. This is not a remote position. The role uses computer drafting software to generate site plans and construction drawings for company projects. The employee will produce plan sets, follow and manage AutoCAD drafting and plan-preparation standards, help maintain the drawing database, and perform routine checks for data accuracy. The position also involves learning Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
0 to 3 years of relevant experience.
Detail-oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, and self-starter.
Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication and writing skills, and desire to learn.
Ability to work independently and with a team.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree preferred.
Proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products preferred.

Responsibilities

Use computer drafting software to generate site plans and construction drawings for projects.
Design and produce sets of plans.
Implement and manage AutoCAD drafting and plan-preparation standards.
Assist in maintaining the drawing database.
Perform routine analysis to check the accuracy of data.
Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.
