About The Position

Kimley-Horn is hiring a CAD Operator for its Surface Water team in Charlotte, North Carolina. This is an onsite, non-remote position. The role uses basic computer drafting software to generate site plans and construction drawings for company projects, while following Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Detail-oriented, professional attitude, good communication skills, team-player mindset, and self-starter approach.
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication and writing skills, and desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree preferred.
• Proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use basic computer drafting software to generate site plans and construction drawings for Kimley-Horn projects.
• Design and produce sets of plans.
• Implement and manage AutoCAD drafting and plan-preparation standards.
• Assist in maintaining the drawing database.
• Perform routine analysis to check data accuracy.
• Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.
