About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking a CAD Operator to join its Natural Gas team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This is not a remote position. The role uses basic computer-aided drafting software to generate site plans and construction drawings for company projects. The technician designs and produces plan sets, applies and manages AutoCAD drafting and plan-preparation standards, helps maintain the drawing database, and performs routine analyses to check data accuracy. The employee will develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0 to 3 years of relevant experience.
• Detail-oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team-player approach, and self-starter qualities.
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication and writing skills, and desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree preferred.
• Proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products preferred.

Responsibilities
