About The Position
Marshall Dennehey, P.C., a nationally recognized Am Law 200 civil defense law firm with more than 60 years of service, is seeking an attorney to join its Melville, New York office. The attorney will handle premises, auto, Labor Law 240, and other general liability matters. Trial experience is preferred. The practice is team-based and collaborative, with meaningful client interaction and opportunities for professional development and practice growth. The attorney will work closely with experienced shareholders and associates who provide mentorship, hands-on experience, continuous feedback, and individualized goal-setting. Independent management of cases from inception through trial is not expected on day one; the attorney will develop toward full case management at their own pace. It values long-term career growth, internal advancement, and lasting professional relationships. The negotiable compensation range is $155,000–$200,000, depending on experience and portable business.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience handling premises, auto, Labor Law 240, and other general liability matters.
- Strong analytical thinking, legal writing, research, and communication skills.
