About The Position
Mustang Freightways is currently hiring a Class 1 City P&D Driver for our Acheson Terminal. The ideal candidate must be available to work Monday to Friday starting at 1:30 PM. We are a diversified, general freight carrier offering both LTL & TL services in Alberta and British Columbia. At Mustang, our team takes pride in its service-excellence, to meet and exceed our customer expectations.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 operator’s license
- 2-5 years driving experience
- General knowledge of the freight industry
- Knowledge of rules and regulations regarding safe operation of commercial vehicles, hours of service, and handling of dangerous goods
- Positive attitude with the ability to work alone or in a team environment
- Strong communication skills are a must
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Nice To Haves
- Flat deck experience considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Complete pick up and deliveries in and around Edmonton using operating a truck & trailer, or flat deck.
- Responsible for assisting with loading and unloading of truck and safe operation of pallet jack or power jack.
- Complete daily logs and comply with hours-of-service regulations.
- Conduct daily inspection of the vehicle.
- Manual lifting, up to 50 lbs.
- Overtime required.
