About The Position

The Department of Computer and Information Science at Penn Engineering is hiring tenure-track faculty at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor levels as part of a multi-year hiring effort. Candidates should demonstrate outstanding research achievement and potential, excel in teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, and contribute international leadership to their fields. Faculty are expected to welcome a wide range of viewpoints and experiences and work closely with students from all backgrounds. Leadership in cross-disciplinary collaborations is of particular interest. The position starts July 1, 2027. Applicants must hold a PhD in Computer Science or a relevant discipline. Candidates in all areas of computer science are welcome, with particular interest this year in theoretical computer science, computer security, and artificial intelligence, including AI systems. The department especially invites applicants whose interests align with Penn Engineering’s strategic plan.
