About The Position

The Circuit Board Assembler/Tester is responsible for the precise assembly of printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic components, as well as performing functional and quality testing to ensure all products meet company and industry standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
1-2 years of experience in PCB assembly, electronics manufacturing, or a related field
Proficiency in hand soldering (through-hole and/or SMT)
Ability to read schematics and technical documentation
Familiarity with ESD safety standards
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
Ability to stand/sit for extended periods and use magnification equipment

Nice To Haves

IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification (or willingness to obtain)
Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) or ICT fixtures
Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality systems
Experience with rework and repair of surface mount components

Responsibilities

Assemble PCBs and electronic components using hand soldering, wave soldering, and/or SMT (surface mount technology) techniques
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and work orders
Place and solder components including resistors, capacitors, ICs, connectors, and other parts
Operate hand tools, pick-and-place machines, and soldering equipment
Follow IPC standards and ESD (electrostatic discharge) safety procedures
Perform in-circuit testing (ICT), functional testing, and visual inspections
Use test equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and automated test fixtures
Identify, document, and troubleshoot defects or failures
Rework and repair boards that fail inspection or testing
Maintain accurate production and test records
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
Meet daily production targets and quality benchmarks
Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve recurring issues
Follow all safety policies and procedures
