About The Position

SitterTree connects child care providers with churches across the Homewood, Alabama area for nursery and Children’s Ministry care during services, group meetings, special events, and other occasions. Jobs are primarily available on Sunday mornings, with additional opportunities on Saturdays and weekdays. Providers choose when and where they work and can access opportunities across Homewood and the Birmingham metro area, including Birmingham, Mountain Brook, Vestavia Hills, Hoover, Irondale, and surrounding communities. Babysitting and nannying jobs with families are also available through the app. To get started, applicants create a SitterTree profile, view available nearby jobs, and pass a background check to apply and book jobs. Payment is issued within 24 hours after each job. Work hours are chosen by the provider, with no minimum weekly hours. Compensation is $20–$25 or more per hour; the listed compensation range is $20–$25 per hour.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be willing and able to complete and pass a background check.
Previous child care experience, such as babysitting, nannying, church nursery work, daycare, preschool, or teaching at an early learning center.
Experience caring for infants and toddlers, including diaper changing, naptimes, and bottle feeding.
Strong understanding of child development.
Patient, kind, and nurturing.
First aid/CPR certified, including pediatric certification.

Responsibilities
