About The Position

Churches across the New York City metro area are seeking child care providers to work in their nursery or Children's Ministry during service times, group meetings, special events, and more through the SitterTree app. Jobs are primarily available on Sunday mornings, with additional opportunities on Saturdays and weekdays. Providers choose when and where they work, with no minimum hours required. Jobs are available throughout the New York City metro area, including Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx, Staten Island, Yonkers, New Rochelle, and surrounding communities. The platform also provides access to babysitting and nannying jobs with families. Most jobs pay $20–$25+ per hour, with compensation listed at $20.00–$25.00 per hour. Providers create a profile, view available jobs, and must pass a background check to apply and be booked. Payment is made within 24 hours after each job.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be willing and able to complete and pass a background check.
Previous child care experience as a babysitter, nanny, church nursery worker, daycare, preschool, or early learning center teacher, or similar experience.
Experience with infant and toddler care, including diaper changing, naptimes, and bottle feeding.
Strong understanding of child development.
Patient, kind, and nurturing.
First aid/CPR certified, including pediatric certification.

Responsibilities

Provide child care in church nurseries or Children's Ministry during services, group meetings, special events, and other scheduled times.
Provide care for infants and toddlers, including diaper changing, naptimes, and bottle feeding.
Book available jobs through the SitterTree app and work at the selected times and locations.
