The Garden Shop Merchandiser role is ideal for an individual who loves the outdoors and enjoys variety. This department experiences constant change with the seasons, offering new and exciting inventory ranging from flowers and shrubs to pumpkins and Christmas trees. It's a perfect fit for someone who enjoys hands-on work and doesn't mind getting their hands dirty.
Requirements
- Ability to adapt and quickly change with the seasons
- Ability to communicate with customers and answer questions about inventory
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Great customer service skills
- Weekend availability is a must
- Willingness to work in very cold climates
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
Responsibilities
- Taking care of customers and answering questions
- Keeping the Garden Shop clean and organized
- Fronting products
- Stocking merchandise
- During Christmas: making wreaths, filling tree stands, tying trees to cars
- Adapting to changing inventory as the department's needs shift every few months
- Providing exceptional customer service
