About The Position

Facilitate entertainment performances by providing exceptional guest service through one-on-one interactions while assisting performers. Escort Character performers to and from assigned areas and help ensure their safety and physical well-being in accordance with Special Events Character Handling Guidelines. Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate in live shows and other activities. Promote a fun and comfortable atmosphere, provide information and tours about recreation facilities and activities, and lead or perform in live shows using basic scripts and improvisation as needed. Engage audiences, explain facility safety rules, observe activities, and respond appropriately to emergencies or situations in which guests may not safely participate. Prepare for shows and clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies. The role requires accurately portraying predetermined character styles and mannerisms; performing for extended periods inside bulky, hot costumes; meeting costume-specific size and weight requirements; working with large groups and children; and standing for extended periods. Employees must follow company, safety, and security policies; report hazards, injuries, and maintenance problems; complete safety training and certifications; maintain a clean, professional appearance; protect confidential information and company assets; and provide attentive, professional service to guests and colleagues. The position also involves inspecting tools and equipment, carrying special-event props and gear, and performing other reasonable duties as requested. Requirements

CPR certification.
First Aid certification.
Maintain size and weight requirements based on the predetermined costume size.
Ability to perform inside bulky, hot costumes for extended periods.
Ability to portray predetermined character styles, characteristics, and mannerisms consistently.
Ability to work with large groups and children and to stand for extended periods.
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Ability to move through narrow, confined, elevated, tight, and dark spaces, including while wearing a large costume.
Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and use stairs or service ramps.
Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
Ability to work around outdoor elements, wet or humid conditions, extreme heat or cold, loud noises, and large crowds.
Continual manual dexterity, including frequent use of both hands.
Ability to identify and distinguish colors.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Assist and accompany Character performers to and from assigned areas while following character-handling guidelines.
