About The Position
The Choreographer is primarily responsible for creating and teaching dynamic and engaging dance routines that enhance the storytelling and capture the spirit of the musical. The Choreographer collaborates with the director to develop the choreography that complements the overall vision of the production. The production this Choreographer will start with is our community production of Mary Poppins, which will feature actors aged 7 and older.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a choreographer, preferably in musical theater productions.
- Strong knowledge of various dance styles, including jazz, tap, and musical theater dance.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Dependability.
- Ability to work in a time-sensitive environment.
- Prepared to provide a portfolio or reel showcasing previous choreography work prior to an interview, if selected.
