The Chiropractor provides quality chiropractic care to patients at a The Joint Chiropractic franchise location in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The role focuses on evaluating and treating neuromusculoskeletal and spine-related conditions, educating patients about routine chiropractic care, and building positive doctor-patient relationships. The franchise’s operating model supports doctors by providing marketing, insurance administration, and business administration so they can focus on patient care. This is a part-time, weekend and relief position. Compensation is $33–$40, depending on experience, with potential bonuses. The franchisee is the employer and independently establishes employment terms, including wages and benefits.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college.
Doctor of Chiropractic degree from an accredited chiropractic college.
Passing scores on Parts I, II, III, and IV of the NBCE; a recent NBCE SPEC exam is an acceptable alternative for Part IV.
Valid DC license in the applicable state.
Eligibility for malpractice insurance in the applicable state.

Responsibilities

Consult with patients by reviewing their health and medical histories, asking questions, observing and examining them, and reviewing X-rays when indicated.
Evaluate patients’ neuromusculoskeletal systems and spine to diagnose related conditions.
Perform manual adjustments to the spine or other body articulations when necessary to correct the musculoskeletal system.
Educate patients about the quality-of-life benefits of routine chiropractic care and recommend a course of treatment.
Maintain accurate case histories and timely patient records.
Obtain and record patients’ medical histories when indicated.
Arrange diagnostic X-rays when medically necessary.
Analyze X-rays to identify sources of patients’ difficulties and rule out fractures or diseases.
Build positive doctor-patient relationships.
Sell membership packages.
