About The Position

KMS is hiring a Chinese–English Translator for a 2-month assignment. The role works directly with clients in English and translates written content in both directions between English and Simplified Chinese. It requires strong written Chinese and accurate translation, with attention to meaning, tone, and terminology in the casino and entertainment industry. Content may include software applications, websites, and mobile apps.

Requirements

Advanced written proficiency in both Simplified Chinese and English.
For non-native Chinese speakers, HSK Level 6 or equivalent Chinese proficiency.
For non-native English speakers, IELTS 6.5+, TOEFL iBT equivalent, or equivalent English proficiency.
Ability to translate accurately in both directions between Simplified Chinese and English.
Must pass a bilingual translation assessment.

Nice To Haves

CATTI Level 2 or Level 3 (Translation).
NAATI Certified Translator (Chinese–English, in the relevant translation direction).
ATA Certified Translator (English–Chinese or Chinese–English, in the relevant direction).
Experience translating software applications, websites, and mobile app content.
Experience with UI/UX, technical documentation, and software terminology.

Responsibilities

Work and communicate directly with clients in English.
Translate written content accurately from English to Simplified Chinese and from Simplified Chinese to English.
Maintain consistent meaning, tone, and terminology within the casino and entertainment context.
Translate and localize content for software applications, websites, and mobile apps.
Review and proofread translations for accuracy, consistency, and quality.
