About The Position

The HVAC Services Technician V troubleshoots, diagnoses, repairs, and installs HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical components and equipment. The technician performs service projects and small jobs from beginning to completion while ensuring total customer satisfaction. Responsibilities also include installing, commissioning, and maintaining a wide variety of HVAC and refrigeration equipment, communicating clearly with customers on and off job sites, maintaining service-vehicle inventory and tools, and following the company’s safety procedures and policies.

Requirements

• Current licensed technician (mandatory) or verifiable experience servicing commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
• EPA Certification.
• Experience troubleshooting water-cooled chiller VFDs.
• Experience troubleshooting water-cooled chillers.
• Chiller rebuild experience.
• Startup and commissioning experience.
• Crane signaling and rigging experience.
• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing steam boilers and systems, including setting combustion.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of the industry and the Company’s competitors.
• Ability to multitask and perform duties outside the scope of work when necessary.
• Skills level of Tech IV.

Nice To Haves

• 18 or more verifiable years of experience servicing commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission a wide variety of HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Perform maintenance on HVAC and refrigeration equipment.
• Maintain clear communication with customers both on and off customer job sites.
• Assist with maintaining inventory and procuring tools for the individual service vehicle.
• Promote and follow all aspects of BMCC's safety procedures and policies.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and install HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, and mechanical components and equipment.
• Perform service projects and small jobs from beginning to completion while ensuring total customer satisfaction.
