The Beaumont Sport & Recreation Centre (BSRC) is looking for a Childmind Attendant to join our team! Do you have a passion for working with children? If you answered yes to any of these questions, this position could be a great fit for you! We’re seeking service focused Childmind Attendants to work on a casual basis at the BSRC. The Center is offering a childminding program to enhance the customer experience for the families that utilize the Beaumont Sport and Recreation Centre. Childminding is short-term care for infants and children aged 6 months – 7 years while their parent(s), guardian(s), or caregiver(s) use the facility. We’re looking for Childmind Attendants who are passionate about creating a fun, safe and comfortable environment for infants and children, and can work up to 15 hours per week.

Requirements

High School Diploma
Previous experience in babysitting and/or childcare
Excellent communication skills
First Aid/CPR certificate (or willingness to obtain at your own cost)
Clear Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector and Child Intervention Record Checks

Responsibilities

Engage children in activities and games
Ensure parents and children have the best possible experience every time they visit
Communicate with parents regarding any concerns or challenges
Guarantee a fun, safe, engaging environment for children
Participate in the City’s Health & Safety program
Other duties as assigned
