About The Position

Jovie is hiring a professional, engaging childcare provider at a clinic in Oceanside, California. The provider cares for children while their parents attend medical appointments in a dedicated children's room stocked with toys, books, and activities. This is a scheduled part-time position serving children from different families rather than one family in their home. Assignments typically last 60–90 minutes per family, with approximately 1–4 children in care at a time.

The schedule is approximately 18 hours per week: Monday 8:45 AM–12:00 PM, Tuesday 2:45 PM–7:00 PM, Wednesday 10:45 AM–2:00 PM, Thursday 1:45 PM–6:00 PM, and Friday 8:45 AM–12:00 PM. The clinic is closed on federal holidays. Additional hours may be available through the on-call team. The anticipated start is after Thanksgiving. Pay is $19.25–$21 per hour, depending on experience, and pay dates are every two weeks.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of childcare experience outside of family or friends.
• Dependable, punctual, professional, and engaging.
• Enjoy caring for children of different ages.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• At least 2 childcare-related references and 1 character reference.
• At least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, nurturing care for children of all ages.

• Encourage learning through reading, play, and age-appropriate activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming children's room.
