About The Position

The Childcare Coordinator ensures that moms can fully engage in discipleship through Moms Group by providing a safe and nurturing environment for their children. This role includes overseeing quality childcare, fostering a supportive and valued team of caregivers, and giving families confidence in the care provided. The Childcare Coordinator reports to the Kids Pastor. This is a part-time, hourly non-exempt position requiring 12 hours a month for ten months per year. This is a flexible, seasonal role. Moms Group meetings are twice a month, September-May, from 8:00 am-12:00 pm, including recruiting time in July and August.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Early childhood experience is preferred.
  • Valid PA Driver’s License.
  • Patient, organized, great people skills, leadership ability and good at recruiting.
  • Have a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Live a lifestyle that reflects Biblical standards.
  • Be a member of Worship Center, or willing to become a member.
  • Attend worship services regularly and participate in the life of the church family.
  • Tithe to Worship Center.
  • Fully embrace the WC Staff Culture Values.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that moms can fully engage in discipleship through Moms Group by providing a safe and nurturing environment for their children.
  • Recruit and establish teams to provide quality childcare.
  • Oversee all aspects of childcare including staffing all rooms with the correct number of team members and planning activities for the children.
  • Establish a substitute contact list so team members can fulfill the expectation of finding their own replacement when needed.
  • Maintain good communication with overseer.
  • Support the childcare team members by maintaining good communication, distributing a list of meeting dates, sending reminder emails as needed, and communicating any changes due to weather conditions.
  • Keep excellent records of team members’ contact and attendance information to submit for payment.
  • Ensures that parents can fully engage in discipleship opportunities, classes, and groups by providing a safe and nurturing environment for their children.
