About The Position
This is a part-time role focused on supervising and engaging children in a safe and nurturing environment. The attendant will be responsible for daily activities, maintaining cleanliness, and communicating with parents.
Requirements
- Previous experience in childcare or a related field is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
- Patience, creativity, and a genuine love for working with children.
- Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Nice To Haves
- First Aid and CPR certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience with special needs children.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor children at all times to ensure safety and well-being
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, including sensory play, motor-skill development, crafts, games, and storytelling
- Organize and lead group activities such as active play, playground time, and creative projects
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene, including sanitizing toys, surfaces, and play areas daily
- Manage check-in and check-out procedures and communicate with parents about behavior, milestones, or concerns
- Follow all childcare policies and safety guidelines to ensure a secure environment for all children
- Support positive social interaction and help children build cooperative play skills
- Maintain a positive, welcoming environment for children, parents, and staff
