About The Position

The Childcare Attendant is responsible for supervising and interacting with members' children who are using the child care facility. This person develops and maintains a positive, fun, and safe atmosphere. The role involves executing programs developed by the Child Care Lead, ensuring a safe and hygienic environment, being responsive to parents' needs, interacting with children, reporting unsafe conditions, administering emergency care, and working collaboratively with other departments. Additionally, the attendant is expected to maintain a professional appearance, learn emergency procedures, attend staff meetings, be knowledgeable about center programs, promote club services, perform routine maintenance of childcare equipment, assist with stocking and cleaning the center, and attend Active Wellness site meetings and trainings. They are also responsible for handling injury, illness, and security incident reporting.

Requirements

• Two years of experience with children (infant to 12 years) in a group setting
• Ability to stand for several hours in a same shift, physical agility, ability to lift 25 pounds
• Must be detail oriented, organized and highly responsive with a commitment to customer service
• Strong verbal communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Customer service skills
• Results oriented
• Ability to multitask
• Commitment to the fitness industry
• AED/CPR/First Aid Certified
• Proof of citizenship or legal status

Responsibilities

• Execute the programs developed by the Child Care Lead
• Ensure safety and hygienic environment in the child care facility
• Be responsive to parents to fulfill their child care service needs
• Interact with children
• Report any unsafe conditions to manager
• Administer emergency care to members and guests in need of assistance
• Work as a TEAM with all other departments
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor
• Maintain a professional appearance and good personal hygiene
• Learn proper emergency procedures and follow as necessary
• Attend staff meetings
• Be knowledgeable about all programs and activities offered throughout the center
• Promote club services and activities
• Perform routine maintenance of Childcare equipment
• Assist with keeping the center well stocked and clean
• Attend Active Wellness site meetings and trainings
• Handle injury and illness and security incident reporting
