Child Respite Provider
About The Position
Provide respite care for a young boy in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, for up to four hours per week. Care will begin in the child's home because he may be shy at first. After he is comfortable and a bond has been established, the provider may take him on community outings. The family would appreciate visits to the library to encourage early learning through reading. The child is active and enjoys the local YMCA, sports, board games, Legos, puzzles, and routine. Respite care takes place in the child's home and in the community. The stated schedule is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The hourly wage is $10.60. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, that Member is the legal employer; Consumer Direct Care Network assists with recruiting and does not have authority to hire or dismiss the provider.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Auto insurance.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the child.
- Engage with the child through his favorite activities and special interests.
- Take the child on outings in the community once he is comfortable.
- Support early learning through reading at the library, as appreciated by the family.
