Child Respite Provider
About The Position
Provide respite care for a young boy in the Menomonie area. Care may take place in the child’s home, the provider’s home, or in the community. This part-time, flexible, as-needed opportunity starts at one weekend per month, with the possibility of additional hours as the provider builds a bond with the child. The child enjoys reading, outdoor play, sports—especially basketball—Godzilla, and animals. Pay is $14.13 per hour. Consumer Direct Care Network assists the Member or Managing Party with recruiting a Direct Care Worker, but is not the legal employer of record. If hired, the Member or Managing Party is the legal employer and has sole authority to hire or dismiss the worker.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Auto insurance.
- Experience working with autistic children.
Responsibilities
- Engage with the child through activities he prefers.
- Supervise the child.
- Accompany the child on community outings.
