About The Position

Provide respite care for a young boy in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. The role focuses on helping him build social skills and interact with the world through activities he enjoys, including hands-on sensory play, tinkering with machines, and outdoor physical activity. Care will initially take place in the child’s home while he becomes comfortable with the provider; community outings and weekend overnights may follow. The schedule is weekdays after 3:30 p.m. for 8 hours per week, with weekend overnights as needed, up to four times per month. Pay is $14.13 per hour. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, that party—not Consumer Direct Care Network—will be the legal employer and has sole authority to hire or dismiss the provider.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable vehicle and auto insurance.
• Must be pet friendly; the family has pets in the home.
• Knowledge of ADHD, whether professionally or personally.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety and supervision.
• Teach the child how to interact with others.
• Engage one-on-one with the child through his preferred activities.
• Accompany the child on local outings.
