Child Respite Provider
About The Position
Consumer Direct Care Network is seeking a compassionate Child Respite Provider to support two boys in their home in Wausau, Wisconsin. The provider will help the children remain in their home and support the family by assisting with their care and daily activities. The ideal candidate is confident, patient, and passionate about caregiving. Experience with individuals with high physical needs is preferred, but the family is willing to train the right candidate. The position pays $17.70 per hour and is scheduled for 15–20 hours per week, primarily after school, with occasional weekends. If hired by a Member or their Managing Party, the Member will be the legal employer. Consumer Direct Care Network assists with recruitment; the Member or Managing Party has sole authority to hire or dismiss a Direct Care Worker.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old at the start of employment.
- Experience working with children with special needs.
- Willingness to undergo a background check.

- Experience working with individuals with high physical needs.
Responsibilities
- Assist with transfers using Hoyer lifts.
- Provide feedings using G-tubes.
- Assist with bathing and dressing.
- Assist with toileting.
- Provide medication assistance, if needed.
- Provide play time and interaction.
