Child Respite Provider
About The Position
Consumer Direct Care Network is recruiting a respite care provider to support a young boy in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Care takes place in the child’s home and on local outings. The provider will help the child maintain a joyful and consistent routine while supporting his family and helping him remain in his own home. The child enjoys Legos, drawing, coloring, Disney movies, trampoline play, bike rides, and community outings. The family provides an Action City Pass and a local waterpark pass. The schedule is evenings from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., up to 10 hours per week, with weekend overnights as needed. Pay is $14.13 per hour and $207.45 for an overnight. If hired by the Member or their Managing Party, that party—not Consumer Direct Care Network—will be the legal employer and have sole authority to hire or dismiss the worker.
Requirements
- CPR certification.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and auto insurance.
- Be pet friendly; the family has an indoor cat.
Nice To Haves
- Previous childcare experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide close supervision in and outside the home.
- Engage the child in his preferred activities.
- Encourage the child to spend time outside the home through fun outings.
- Provide hygiene support, including reminders to shower and assistance getting out of the shower.
- Prepare meals if the parents are away during meal times.
- Administer medication if away from home during medication windows.
